About Us

AMRATALA PRERANA SOCIAL WELFARE SOCIETY is a non-political, non-profit organization committed to the development of rural India. PRERANA began in December 2010 in a remote village at Dhamua in the South 24 pgs. District. Prerana’s team works with conflict affected populations and NGOs to empower and build their capacity to ensure affected population’s access to dignified life. It was registered under The Societies Registration Act -1961, and its headquarters now located at Amratala, a small village in the South 24 pgs., WB, INDIA.

PRERANA partners directly with affected populations delivering humanitarian and development programme to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms. This is done through informed assessed needs to ensure the right decisions are taken while programming.

Mission of the Organization:

PRERANA strives to diversity and strength its organizational competency to develop strategies and programs to chance the capacities of children, families and communities thought participation and advocacy leading towards sustainable development and empowerment. To establish and maintain School & teaching centre, Kinder Garden & Primary School. Adult Education Centre, Computer Centre. To promote agriculture, animal resources, pisciculture, wasteland development for the benefit of the poor and disadvantaged people.
